Project details
Client: Kreiswirtschaftsbetriebe (KWB) Goslar; Own business of the district of Goslar
Mission: Redevelopment concept, planning (LPH 1-9 HOAI), local construction supervision
Boundary conditions
BA I: Dilapidated central shaft of masonry concrete blocks DN 2,500, depth approx. 57 m, considerable slanting/twisting, shaft internals partially collapsed, concrete corrosion, washed-out joints with uncontrolled water inflow, massive deposits, collapsed drainage pipes at shaft bottom.
BA II: Central seepage drainage pipe made of PE with massive damage (deformations, collapses, cracks/shards, deposits), overburden up to 35 m, water discharge severely restricted, cleaning/TV no longer possible for many years.
Rehabilitation techniques
1. leachate central shaft BA I
- Clearing out, securing, exploration, sampling of the existing shaft
- Dismantling and closing of a ducting shaft, sealing of a foundation penetration
- GRP inliner rehabilitation using the shaft-in-shaft method
- Laying drainage pipes in the annular space, graveling the annular space
- Insertion of new drainage stubs using the horizontal drilling method, blind holes at the bottom of the shaft and in further drainage horizons (11÷34 m)
- Use of special equipment (e.g. drilling rig) and safety equipment (e.g. redundant entry device with full respiratory protection, working scaffold in the shaft up to 45 m height).
2. rehabilitation of the drainage pipe BA II
- Rehabilitation of the drainage pipeline over a length of 350 m by means of burst lining using the tandem shaft method and shaft-on-shaft method.
- Renewal of a perimeter dam penetration using the cut-and-cover method (slide-rail shoring)
